I quit using liquid foundation some time ago. It felt as if I was wearing a masque and the break outs where hideous, no matter the brand. Not to mention this hot Alabama weather, just melts off my makeup. I finally gave up and decide just to spot conceal trouble areas, even though this is not what I wanted to do. I wanted even skin color. I wanted a dewy appearance. Who doesn't right?
When I was selected by Influenster I was excited to try for the simple fact that it said better skin. So I set out to take the #BetterSkinChallenge
|I received this in exchange for my unbiased review|
WEEK 1:First, thing that I noticed was the pump dispenser. I love these feature because it seems to add just the perfect amount to your hand. It blended very well with no creasing or lines. However, I fill that this shade (porcelain) was just a tad to light for my complexion. I just added a light bronzer to it to fix the minor difference. It has a very light, almost unnoticeable smell. But my favorite thing was that within minutes of using it did not feel as if I had anything on.
WEEK 2: Not a break out yet, YES!!! I have some how managed to remember to use this daily , which posed a challenge in itself since I used to only use mineral foundation. I really want to know if this is different from the rest and so far yes it is. It is even passed the all day staying power.
WEEK 3: Well I broke out along my hair line, but this could be due to the unsightly visitor that comes once a month. However, with that said, overall I like this. Great staying power, no masque feeling, and affordable. Will I buy this again? Probably not. Only because I prefer the mineral brand I use and I know what they put in it. With Maybelline I am not not sure and plan on looking further into the ingredients they use. Probably should have already done so. If you like a liquid foundation, I do say TRY IT. It has staying power like I have never experienced.
